The requirements for badging airline employees differs from non-airline employees.
Many airlines conduct their own fingerprinting prior to applying for a badge, please ask your company for more information.
The requirements are:
New Applicants:
1. Bring a completed application, with Authorized Signer Section completed and two acceptable ID's to the Badging Office.
2. Need a fingerprint letter with a fingerprint date and case number or applicant will be fingerprinted at the Badging Office.
3. Security Threat Assessment will be conducted.
4. Will be required to take the SIDA class. (Applicant must have cleared the STA & Fingerprint Process prior to taking SIDA Training)
Renewing Applicants (badge not expired):
1. Bring a completed application, with Authorized Signer Section completed and two acceptable ID's to the Badging Office.
2. Need a fingerprint letter with a fingerprint date or applicant will be fingerprinted at the Badging Office.
3. SIDA class is not required.
4. The employee will be able to walk away with a badge.
5. Airline will be required to provide fingerprint results to the Airport Police Dept. within 45 days of renewal.
Expired Applicants (within 30 days):
1. Bring a completed application, with Authorized Signer Section completed and two acceptable ID's to the Badging Office.
2. Provide a fingerprint letter complete with fingerprint date, clearance number and clearance date.
3. The employee will be able to walk away with a badge.
4. SIDA class not required.
Expired/Returning Applicants (over 30 days expired):
1. Bring a completed application, with Authorized Signer Section completed and two acceptable ID's to the Badging Office.
2. Need a fingerprint letter with a fingerprint date and case number or applicant will be fingerprinted at the Badging Office.
3. The applicant will not be able to walk away with a badge.
4. Security Threat Assessment will be conducted.
5. SIDA class will be required if applicant has been away for 6 months or more.
(Applicant must have cleared the STA & Fingerprint Process prior to taking SIDA Training)
