Elmo and Cookie Monster, characters from the long-running children's TV show, "Sesame Street," took over for a few of Delta Air Lines' gate agents Monday to help Delta kick off the summer travel season at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
These beloved characters made gate announcements, spent time with fans (of all ages), and were available for photo ops.
Grover joins the gang for the second leg of the trip to New York and an appearance at LaGuardia Airport Tuesday. From New York, Elmo and Grover head to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport for the final event Thursday.
A new DVD, "Elmo's Travel Songs and Games," is being released Tuesday and will be aired as part of Delta's in-flight entertainment on certain flights from June through August.
