Aveda and Hammer Made Celebrate Universal Children’s Day, Nov. 20

Aveda is well known for its commitment to the health of people and the environment, as demonstrated by its natural product lines and emphasis on Ayurvedic wellbeing. This dedication extends to people and places throughout the world. On Nov. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Aveda and Hammer Made will host a hair, make-up, and fashion show in the Airport Mall in honor of Universal Children's Day.

The event was inspired by Aveda's partnership with the Nepali people who make the handcrafted paper featured in Aveda's gift sets. The collaboration has created more than 5,500 jobs in Nepal, allowing parents, who often have to travel great distances to find work, to stay home with their children. As a result, more children are able to attend school versus tending to younger siblings.

Thursday's event will feature Aveda models, offering free samples of various signature Aveda looks, as well as complimentary lip and eye makeup touchups and chakra balancing rituals. Guests can enjoy a cup of Aveda Comforting Tea or fruit-infused water and snack on organic treats made by Baking Feather Cakes.

Meanwhile Hammer Made will offer free shirt steaming and free shipping on purchases over $75, as well as a free "Sock of the Week" with a purchase of one or more shirts. In honor of the day, the high-end men's store will also sell a selection of limited-edition children's shirts.

To add to the atmosphere, Brookstone will provide festive and soothing music. Be sure to stop by to celebrate children, fashion, wellness and the spirit of the season!
