Hot Dish Restaurant Closing Permanently Wed. Dec. 31

Hot Dish restaurant near Checkpoint 1 at Terminal 1-Lindbergh is closing for good Wednesday, December 31.

The restaurant, which took the place of Houlihan's in 2012 as the only full-service restaurant on the unsecure side of Terminal 1, will not be replaced with another restaurant. Instead, its removal will make room for an expanded and more efficient Checkpoint 1, on which construction begins this year.

A temporary grab and go outlet with sandwiches, salads and bottled beverages is expected to open nearby sometime the first couple weeks of January.

So, if you didn't get enough creamed corn souffle or green bean casserole over the holidays, you have a little more than 24 hours to grab some tater tot hotdish at Hot Dish.
