Light Rail emergency training exercise will take place Sept. 10-11

Metro Transit will be conducting an emergency training exercise on the Light Rail Train (LRT) Blue Line as well as in the tunnels between Terminal 1-Lindbergh and Terminal 2-Humphrey from 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10 until 3:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.

During the exercise, there will be noticeable emergency vehicle traffic in the area as well as simulated smoke. Please also be aware of exercise radio traffic on several Metropolitan Airports Commission and regional radio talkgroups.

A bus bridge will be provided during this time to accommodate MSP employee as well as traveler transit needs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Bus bridge details:

If you are traveling from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2, take the Hub Tram as usual. Then take the escalator up one level to the Transit Center. Walk through the double-glass doors to find the designated bus traveling to the Terminal 2 LRT station.

If you are traveling from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, report to the Terminal 2 LRT Station as usual. You will be directed to a bus that will take you to the Terminal 1 Transit Center. Upon arrival, walk through the double-glass doors, and take the escalator down one level to the Hub Tram to continue the walk to your job site.
