More Terminal 1-Lindbergh stores close for renovations

Four more stores in MSP's Terminal 1 are closing to make room for new concepts.

  • TGI Fridays on Concourse C will close permanently tonight after its normal hours of operation. Construction on Minnesota Twin's Grill, which will be replacing the restaurant, will begin on Monday.
  • Lakeside News on Concourse F will be closing tonight as well. A new convenience store is scheduled to open in its place in early October.
  • Talie in the Airport Mall closed yesterday so that its space can be renovated for a new restaurant, scheduled to open at the end of this year.
  • Bluwire on Concourse F closed last week for renovations and will re-open this fall.

These updates are a part of a massive plan to renovate MSP, including the construction of 50 (with more to come) new restaurant and retail venues, renovating the ticketing and bag claim areas at Terminal 1, full remodels of nearly 100 sets of restrooms, four new gates at Terminal 2-Humphrey, a luxury airport hotel, and a new 5000-space parking ramp.
