Registration now open for 2016-2017 MSP employee art show

Calling all artists! Registration is now open for the seventh annual MSP Employee Art Exhibit.

This event, co-sponsored by the Airport Foundation MSP and the National Arts Program, gives MSP Airport employees and their family members an opportunity to display artwork to an international audience. All skill levels and ages are encouraged to participate; youth and teen entries are especially appreciated.

Cash prizes are awarded for all categories and age groups. As an added bonus this year, there will be an Art Education scholarship category for teen and adult entries.

More than 200 works of art from MSP employees, volunteers and their families are expected to enter again this year. Judges will award cash prizes up to $300 for winners in a variety of categories.

This year's exhibit will be displayed in the Thomson Reuters Concourse C Art Gallery from Nov. 28, 2016 to Nov. 13, 2017. In past years, the exhibit has only ran for sixth months.

"The change in the length of the show is so Arts@MSP can work on a sports exhibit that coincides with Super Bowl 52," said Robyn Robinson, Arts@MSP director.

To register, fill out this form on the Airport Foundation MSP's website. Printed brochures with registration information are also available at all information booths and at the Travelers Assistance main desk at the entrance to the C and D concourses at Terminal 1-Lindbergh.The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 28.

Due to expected space constraints, artists are limited to submitting only one piece for the show. All two-dimensional works must be framed before submitting. Questions regarding the art show can be submitted on the Contact Us page of the Airport Foundation MSP's website
