MSP Creates 2020: The Airport Community Art Show now open for entries

Painting of an African-American womanRegistration is now open for MSP Creates 2020: The Airport Community Art Show. This is the 10th year of the show, which is one of the highlights of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) community.

The competition is open to all MSP and Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) employees, retirees, volunteers and immediate family members. There is a maximum of two entries per person. All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant, completed within the past three years.

Registration opened Aug. 13 and will close Oct. 30.

MSP Creates is a collaboration between the National Arts Program, Airport Foundation MSP and Arts@MSP. It is a judged exhibit with the opportunity to win cash prizes in several different age classifications and medium categories. (See this brochure for details.)

The exhibit will be displayed in the Thomson Reuters Concourse C Art Gallery from Dec. 18, 2020 through June 3, 2021.

There is one significant change from last year's exhibit: Artists will deliver their work curbside and will not need to park or enter the terminal. Artwork drop-off will be Nov. 3rd and 4th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at MSP Terminal 1, East Curbside, Door 7. (East Curbside Door 7 is on the upper level at the very end past the Lyft/Uber pickup areas.)
