Electric Cart Program & Driver Training

The Airport Police Department manages the Electric Cart Program at the MSP Airport and offers the following services:

  • Cart Operator permit application processing
  • Cart Classes for Ordinance #113 revew and testing are held on a monthly basis (schedule below)
  • Electric Cart Inspections
  • Electric Cart Licensing
  • Enforcement of MAC Ordinance 113
  • Electric Cart Accident Investigation

The following fees apply:

  • The fee for an employee to receive a cart seal is $40.
  • The fee for the annual cart inspection is $70.
  • Both fees will be processed by the badging office. Invoicing (with prior company approval), checks, and credit cards are all accepted payment methods. 


Classes are located on the fourth (4th) floor of the common area between Terminal 1's Red and Blue parking ramps (above the Badging Office) and start promptly at 3:15 p.m. Participants must register at least a week in advance (due dates are included on the schedule), and need to sign in to class no later than 3:10pm.  Late arrivals will not be admitted.
