Three more stores close at MSP to make room for new concepts

Three more stores in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport's (MSP) Terminal 1-Lindbergh are closing to make room for new concepts.

  • Brookstone in the Airport Mall closed permanently on April 24. A Swarovski store is scheduled to open in its place this summer.
  • Fox News in the Airport Mall will permanently close tomorrow after normal business hours. The store will be replaced by a news and convenience store called North Loop Market, scheduled to open this fall.
  • The U.S. Bank branch in the Ticketing area will permanently close on Friday after normal business hours. In early May, Wings Financial Credit Union's will open in that location. Wings plans to close their Hub Building location when the Ticketing branch opens.

These three new concepts are a part of a massive plan to update MSP, including the construction of 50 (with more to come) new restaurant and retail venues, rennovating the ticketing and bag claim areas at Terminal 1, full remodels of nearly 100 sets of restrooms, four new gates at Terminal 2-Humphrey, a luxury airport hotel, and a new 5000-space parking ramp.
