Is the badging office open?

The badging office is open. However, if you are dropping off a badge, please visit the Badging Office website to be sure you have the most updated hours of operation.

How do I turn in my badge?

If your company has terminated your employment with them, you must turn in your MSP Airport security badge immediately.

If your company has placed your badge in a leave of absence status due to a furlough or temporary lay-off, you will need to turn in your MSP Airport security badge

You have three options for returning your badge:

  • Turn your badge into your supervisor or company’s human resources representative
  • Drop it off yourself in our always available drop box
  • Mail it to the badging office.

The address is below and is also located on the back of your badge:

Airport Police Department

MSP international Airport

4300 Glumack Drive, LT – 3255

St. Paul MN 55111

It is a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulation that your badge must be turned in within 24 hours of termination, separation, retirement, leave of absence, or suspension.  Avoid paying fines ($200 or more) by turning in your badge on time!

Can I park at Terminal 1, rather than Terminal 2, if my job is located at Terminal 1?

Effective immediately, employees who have an MSP Airport parking zip pass can use the parking ramps at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 while on duty at the airport. This policy is in place until further notice.

Employees with a zip pass may park on any open level available in the ramps at Terminal 1.

What restaurants and retail stores are open?

The status of each restaurant and retail store is in flux. Restaurants and retailers are working with the airport’s management to ensure there are food options open from early in the morning until at least 9 p.m. every day.

McDonalds is no longer serving 24 hours a day. Its hours are now 4:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. AtYourGate continues to provide food delivery services at Terminal 1. Check their app for hours and restaurant availability.

I need a key. Is the airport’s facilities department open?

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Facilities Department is making the following adjustments to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 to the public and staff members. These policies are effective Thursday, March 19, 2020 and are in place until further notice.

Access to the Office

The MAC Facilities office is closed to outside visitors.  Office access is limited to appointments only.  To make an appointment, please call 612-726-5225 or e-mail the Facilities group at Facilities@mspmac.org.  Please continue to call the office with repair requests as this process has not changed.

Key Access

The ability to check out keys is discontinued.  If you require a key to conduct business, fill out a Lock & Key Request Form in order to be issued keys.  You can download the form here. If you require access to a tenant space, please coordinate access with the tenant.

Key requests will be processed via electronic form only.  No paper copies will be accepted. Acceptable formats include PDF, Microsoft Word, or a JPEG image.  Forms are to be submitted to mac-keyrequests@mspmac.org.  Once submitted, allow 5 to 10 working days for requests to be processed.  Keys will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Staff will contact you to coordinate a pick-up time.

Returning Keys/Cliq Key Battery

Envelopes are available outside of the Facilities office for key returns or Cliq key battery replacements.  Please be sure all the information requested on the envelope is provided before placing keys in the envelope. Once secured, slide the envelope under the main office door.  Receipts for returned keys will be e-mailed to the name listed on the outside of the envelope.  Staff will notify CLIQ key users when their battery replacements have been completed to coordinate a pick-up time.

Q: Is the connector bridge between Concourse G and Concourse C still open?

A: Yes, but its hours are now 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

When will I be called back to work?

It is too early to predict when the aviation and airport industry will rebound to where it was previous to the start of the pandemic.

Please speak with your individual employer about any questions you have about your job status.
