Free facemasks available for MSP employees

The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) - the organization that owns and operates MSP Airport - has received additional cloth facemasks and is making them available to MSP Airport employees as we all work to stay safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Use of facemasks while in airport facilities is highly encouraged by the MAC and may be required by your individual employer.)

Every badged employee can receive five facemasks.

If you have an airport ID badge, please bring and present it at one of the following pick-up locations in order to receive your facemasks.

The locations include:

  • The Tram Level Information Booth at Terminal 1 (Main location for distribution)
  • The North and South Information Booths inside security at Terminal 1, at either end of the Airport Mall
  • The Information Booth at Terminal 2 next to the car rental counters

Hours: The above locations will be staffed from 5:45 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., seven days a week. If any location needs to shut down temporarily, a sign will direct employees to a booth that is open.

Tips on usage:

  • Facemasks are intended to reduce your potential to inadvertently transmit the virus to others.
  • Handwashing and social distancing are still required to reduce your risk of becoming infected.
  • Airport employers may have their own specific rules related to facemask use. Follow those rules.
  • In general, please keep the facemask on whenever you need to be within six feet of another coworker or passenger.
  • After your day at work, please bring the facemask home and launder it before reuse.
