Route 54 bus service moves to new Silver Ramp Transit Center Sept. 12

Metro Transit's eastbound route 54 bus service is scheduled to begin dropping off and picking up passengers Sept. 12 at MSP Airport's Terminal 1 Transit Center on the first floor of the partially opened Silver Ramp.

Route 54 bus pick up and drop will continue on the Upper East Roadway of Terminal 1 – located two levels above Level T – through Sept. 11 and move to the new Transit Center the following day. Because of ongoing construction on Hwy. 5, route 54 buses from Terminal 1 are only available to eastbound passengers.

Beginning Aug. 14 through October 2020, westbound route 54 service will detour away from Hwy. 5 and will no longer directly serve Terminal 1, according to Metro Transit. Westbound passengers traveling to MSP Airport should transfer to a northbound Metro Blue Line train at the 28th Avenue Station.

The new Silver Ramp at Terminal 1 partially opened in August with improved transit and rental car facilities. Metro Transit's route 54 bus service joins several other transit services making the move to the first floor of the ramp including:

  • All rental car services
  • Off-airport parking shuttles
  • All bus services, including Jefferson Lines, Landline and charter buses.
