Name the newest addition to the MSP community

Photo of  black labrador retrieverThe Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport Police Department (APD) is inviting the MSP community to help name the department's newest addition to its K-9 unit.

The dog is a male, Black Labrador Retriever that is about 9 months old. He will begin training with his handler in the coming weeks. Specially trained dogs are deployed at airports for many purposes, including detecting explosives and narcotics.  

"The APD is excited to continue our K-9 program with this replacement," said APD Police Chief Matt Christenson. "This K-9 will play an important role in APD's presence in the community, so we hope our community will join in our excitement and help us pick the perfect name for our newest officer."
