Peer-to-peer car rentals now available on-site at MSP Airport

Turo, an app-based peer-to-peer car-sharing company – that is sometimes referred to as the Airbnb of rental car companies – now has a presence on-site at MSP Airport, with cars located on Level 6 of the Red Ramp at Terminal 1.

Turo has been in business since 2010 and facilitates car rentals in about 5,500 cities worldwide. A wide variety of vehicles are available. A valid driver's license is required.

Turo rentals have been available at MSP previously, but users of the app needed to coordinate a pick-up of the vehicle from the owner. The MAC recently approved the Turo location in the Red Ramp.

Guests start the Turo rental process with a visit to the Turo app or website. The process is similar to an app for a traditional rental car company, including the availability of trip-specific insurance, though the vehicles are owned by individuals and being rented to you. Online reviews of individual vehicle owners are available on the Turo app
