MSP's Escape Lounge: Reopened and refreshed with new interior finishes

The Escape Lounge at MSP Airport reopened late last summer with an updated decor and is enjoying steady traffic, a sign of the resurgent number of airline passengers and the popularity of the lounge located above the entrance to Concourse E.

"We saw a busy December around the holidays and we're happy to welcome back our customers," said Brian Perry, the lounge's general manager. "We're seeing about 80 percent of the business we saw in 2019."

The Escape Lounge provides comfortable seating, a well-stocked buffet, coffee and tea, and a full bar – all in a relaxed atmosphere with elevated views of the MSP airfield. The lounge had closed in March 2020 as the pandemic began.

The newly made-over interior boasts new finishes, tables and chairs for dining (rather than booths), and lounge seating featuring adjustable surfaces for laptop computers.

Guests can experience the Escape Lounge by purchasing a day pass, or as American Express Platinum card or Delta Reserve American Express card members, Perry said.

There are 12 Escape Lounges in the U.S., which is a partner with 13 Centurion Lounges located in U.S. airports, also accessed with the American Express cards. Visit the websites for full information and stop by the new Escape Lounge experience.
