MSP Airport Shield

MSP Airport Shield

MSP Airport is further enhancing its security efforts with the launch of the MSP Airport Shield website, an initiative by the Airport Police Department that promotes public safety through information sharing.

The website empowers airport employees, travelers, and community members to confidentially report suspicious activity observed in or around MSP. Users can submit anonymous tips via a secure online form, detailing the time, date, location, type of activity, and even upload photos. Those who wish to assist further may provide contact information for follow-up by investigators.  (Please note that the Airport Shield is not a substitute for 911. If immediate action is required, call 911.)

Examples of incidents that would be appropriate for reporting through the Airport Shield include:

  • Suspicious activity you saw in the past, hours or days ago, but still want to report
  • Criminal behavior you know is ongoing
  • Security concerns at MSP from the past or the future

Beyond public reporting, the Airport Shield platform also serves as a collaboration hub for professionals in security and emergency management. Federal, state, and local officials — as well as private-sector security directors, managers, and emergency preparedness personnel with ties to MSP — are encouraged to apply for membership and contribute to a shared network of vigilance.

Your awareness matters. Visit the MSP Airport Shield website today and discover how your actions can help protect the airport and everyone who passes through it.
