Don't delay — pull together your Special Olympics Plane Pull team now
There’s still time to get a team together for the Special Olympics Minnesota Plane Pull, but starting the process is key!
The fun, high-energy fundraiser happens this year on Saturday, Sept. 6 – now about five weeks away. The MSP Airport Police Department (APD) sponsors the event and dozens of other MAC staff and airport community members provide key support each year to make this fundraiser a success. Your support is important.
A Plane Pull team is only one way to show your support. You can also donate to members of Plane Pull teams, and you can be there on Sept. 6 to cheer on colleagues and friends. The event, held at the Endeavor hangar on the west side of the MSP airfield, attracts a sizable crowd. Additional bleacher seating is being added this year!
Whether you’re a participant or a spectator, you’ll enjoy the action on the tarmac, a food truck near the entrance to the hangar, an emcee/DJ and activities for any kids you bring along to watch.
Special Olympics Minnesota’s mission is to create a new world of inclusion and acceptance for people with intellectual disabilities. SOMN does this by providing year-round sports training and athletic competitions, inclusive healthcare programs, leadership and advocacy training, and inclusive school programs.
