The newly remodeled Terminal 2-Humphrey Checkpoint 2 (formally Checkpoint 1) was opened the morning of February 19. Remodeling was necessary to better accommodate the advanced screening equipment in use today.
The five-lane checkpoint located in the center of the terminal was closed immediately following the October opening of the new six-lane Checkpoint 1, located at the northeast end of the terminal.
With the renovated checkpoint opening, screening operations will be split between the two checkpoints, further improving processing of passengers and carry-on items.
