As it's only June, it may seem strange to be announcing a post-labor day event - but we know you'll want plenty of time to bulk up and begin fundraising for the second annual Minnesota Plane Pull.
Mark your calendar for Saturday, Sept. 12, and then sign up to participate in this worthy cause. You can start your own team, or join one already established.
At the event, teams of up to eight people will compete to pull a Delta jet a distance of 25 feet in the shortest time. Last year's event drew 160 participants who raised more than $30,000 for Special Olympics athletes. The winning team walks away with bragging rights for an entire year. (Expect a few gauntlets to be thrown down over the coming weeks!)
This annual event is presented by Minnesota law enforcement agencies as part of their year-round Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising efforts; co-sponsors include HMSHost, EndeavorAir, Delta, and, of course, the MSP Airport Police Department.
