Help keep the airport and your community safe

As an airport employee, you've heard it 1,000 times: "If you see something, say something." However, this advice is becoming more and more important as terrorist tactics have changed in recent months.

The National Terrorism Advisory System recently issued a bulletin emphasizing the importance of increased public vigilance – both at high-profile facilities like MSP Airport and on a community level.

"In addition to asking you to be mindful of your surroundings at the airport, we're asking that you carry that with you when you go home," said Mike Everson, chief, Airport Police Department.

The bulletin states that there is no specific threat, but community support in identifying suspicious activity is instrumental to preventing future incidences.
