Roadway closures due to parking ramp construction

As part of the new Terminal 1-Lindbergh parking ramp construction, several road and lane closures will take place in the coming weeks.

Northwest Drive closure

The portion of Northwest Drive that's adjacent to Building B will be closed to widen the road and relocate utilities. This is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, April 19 and last until 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 12. Traffic control devices will be installed to accommodate this temporary closure.

Delivery trucks needing to access to the Post Office should follow Northwest Drive to Gate 121. From there, trucks will be escorted through the Airside Operation Area to Temporary Gate 114, then access a Northwest Drive by-pass roadway.

Customer vehicles can access the Post Office through the inbound roadway. From there, they can exit right at Gate 104, turn right (heading east) and follow the D Street Bridge to the Post Office.

To access D Street, take the inbound roadway, exit to the right at Gate 104 and turn left (heading west). Have your ID with you, as you'll need to present it to the Whelan Security Guard.

Departures from both the Post Office and D Street will remain unchanged.

Inbound roadway (Glumack Drive) closures

Lane closures on the inbound roadway to install fiber and temporary power for the Northwest Drive Grape Separation Project are scheduled to occur as follows:

  • The far right lane will be closed April 14, 15, 18, 22 and 25 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The far left lane will be closed on April 19 and 21 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Traffic control devices will be installed to accommodate these closures, and removed or relocated at the conclusion of each workday.

Return to Terminal Loop Bridge closure

The Return to Terminal Loop Bridge will be closed to relocate a gas main from April 25 - 29. Traffic control devices will be installed to accommodate the closure.
