MAC opens food shelf to support federal employees at MSP during government shutdown

As the partial government shutdown continues, some of our federal partners at MSP Airport — including TSA agents — are continuing to work without pay. In support, the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and the Armed Forces Service Center have partnered again to open a food shelf beginning Wednesday, March 4. The food shelf will be open to federal employees 24/7 near the entrance to the Pink Ramp on Level T at Terminal 1.

How to donate

If you would like to support federal employees during this challenging time, you’re encouraged to donate unused and unopened nonperishable food items, personal care items and household supplies. Gift cards and cash donations cannot be accepted.

Donations can be made at the Departures Level Information Booth at Terminal 1 from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. and at the Ground Transportation Center Information Booth at Terminal 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This effort continues our history of helping one another during past government shutdowns, and the MAC remains grateful for the consistent generosity that shapes our MSP Airport community.
