Scam alert: a caller from "MyMSPConnect"

On the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 29, a former MSP Airport employee received a phone call from an individual who claimed they were calling from “MyMSPConnect.”  

MyMSPConnect.com is the website with information for MSP Airport employees. The MAC and the MSP Airport Badging Office do not make calls from anyone claiming to represent the website, and do not contact individuals demanding payment.  

The caller told the former employee, who hasn’t worked at MSP since 2021, that his security badge was not turned in when he departed the airport, and that he would have to pay a $750 late fee. He was given a 1-800 number to call to process the payment.  

The former employee did not cooperate with the caller and notified the MSP Airport Police Department (APD) about the call.   

The APD is investigating and may have more information in the future.  

Any airport employees or former employees who receive such a call should not cooperate and are asked to alert the APD by calling the non-emergency line at 612-726-5577.
