Commissioner Geisler reappointed by Governor Dayton

Commissioner Tim Geisler, of Rochester, was reappointed for an additional four-year term to the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) by Governor Mark Dayton last Friday, April 6. Commissioner Geisler represents Greater Minnesota for the MAC. 

Commissioner Geisler is a manager in the Department of Public Affairs with Mayo Clinic. He has held a number of positions at Mayo Clinic for the past 26 years, including 12 years as Corporate Tax Manager. Previously, Commissioner Geisler was Comptroller with United Financial Saving Bank in Rochester, Accounting Manager for C. H. Robinson Company in Eden Prairie, and an audit manager with the public accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Company (now KPMG) in Minneapolis. Commissioner Geisler earned his bachelors degree in comprehensive public accounting summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire.  He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1976 (currently inactive).

Commissioner Geisler is treasurer of Rochester Airport Company which oversees the management of Rochester International Airport. He is past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Home Federal Savings Bank in Rochester, and has served as Board member and Treasurer of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Diocese of Winona Priest Retirement Fund Board of Trustees.

Governor Tim Pawlenty appointed Commissioner Geisler to the Metropolitan Airports Commission in March 2008. Commissioner Geisler is married and has two daughters.
