COVID-19 vaccine now available at MSP's Terminal 1

Beginning Saturday (June 5), it was  easier than ever for travelers and MSP Airport and MAC employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination – and get a free cup of coffee in the process!

The MAC and state of Minnesota opened up a temporary vaccine site at Terminal 1 (right across from Starbucks in the Airport Mall) where employees and travelers can get a free single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

"Vaccinations save lives, reduce the spread of coronavirus and are absolutely critical to full recovery of the travel and hospitality industry," said Brian Ryks, the MAC's CEO. "I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and help protect themselves and others."

The MSP vaccination site is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will be closed from noon to 1 p.m. each day.

Minnesotans ages 18 years and older are eligible to receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Walk-ins are encouraged and appointments are also available via the Minnesota COVID-19 Vaccine Connector or by calling 833-431-2053.

For those that get vaccinated at the site, Dunkin' donuts and Peoples Organic at Terminal 1 are offering free cups of coffee on the day you receive your shot. All you have to do is show your newly minted vaccination card.

"We are working hard to offer these safe and effective vaccines to every Minnesotan who wants them, and we are proud to offer options as convenient as this one for frequent flyers," said Gov. Tim Walz.
