Help Afghan refugees arriving at MSP Airport!

The first of several Afghan refugees and their families began arriving at MSP Airport last week with little more than the clothes on their back.

The refugees were met by resettlement groups from Lutheran Social Services and the Minnesota Council of Churches, as well as MAC staff, who provided some Navigating MSP resources for the many arriving children such as toys, snacks and water.

The families came to Minnesota after being airlifted out of Afghanistan and spending the last month on a U.S. military base. These families intend to make Minnesota their new home and could use some assistance with basic household items, clothing and personal care items.

If you are interested in how you can aid their transition to the U.S., view this link from the Minnesota Department of Human Services for ways to help.
