‘Coffee with a Cop’ launches June 30 at MSP

The MSP Airport Police Department (APD) will hold its inaugural "Coffee with a Cop" event on Wednesday, June 30, at MSP Airport Terminal 1. Officers from the APD will be in the Airport Mall Food Court from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. to have open, distraction-free conversations with MSP Airport employees.

All MSP Airport employees are invited to attend to speak with members of the Airport Police Department about what matters to them, including any topics or questions they have about the airport or their community. Coffee will be provided by Caribou Coffee MSP for those who attend.

This event is the first in what will be a monthly series for employees at MSP Airport.

Coffee with a Cop is a national program whose mission it is to improve trust and build relationships between police and community members, one cup of coffee at a time. MSP's events will provide an opportunity to bring law enforcement officers and MSP employees together and remove any physical or psychological barriers.

If you are interested in hosting or partnering with the Coffee with a Cop program for future events, please reach out to Lt. Jason Erickson of the APD at Jason.Erickson@mspmac.org or Abby Brownell, MAC event coordinator, at Abby.Brownell@mspmac.org.
