MSP Airport vaccine sites now offering Moderna shots

The temporary COVID-19 vaccine sites at MSP Airport (MSP) are now offering the Moderna vaccine – in addition to the single-dose Johnson & Johnson shots that have been available at both sites since they opened last June.

That gives MAC and MSP employees – and the public – more options to choose from to protect themselves, their families and colleagues from the latest surge in coronavirus cases across the state and country. (The sites began offering the Moderna vaccine on Dec. 27, 2021.)

The MSP sites accept patients 18 and older who are seeking their first, second or booster doses of Moderna vaccine, and patients seeking their initial or booster doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

If you are registering for a booster dose, you will need to provide proof of your vaccination history such as:

  • An original CDC vaccination card, or
  • A paper or electronic copy of a CDC COVID-19 vaccination card, or
  • An original or copy of an alternative official vaccination record, as proof of FDA- or WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccination status including electronic copies of vaccination records

Verbal information about your vaccine history is not acceptable.

The Terminal 1 vaccine site is located right across from Starbucks in the Airport Mall (post security). It is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is closed from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

The Terminal 2 vaccine site is located pre-security on the ground level between ticketing and the escalators to Checkpoint 1. The site is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Walk-ups are welcome but you can schedule an appointment – and find more information about vaccines – here. Do your part to protect yourself, your family and colleagues. Get vaccinated!
